Hidden Foundation


This exhibition pays tribute to the unsung sacrifice and dedication of New York’s 1900s construction workers. It examines their physical labor, harsh working conditions, and social and economic struggles shedding light on their daily lives and community bonds during the city’s rapid industrial growth. By showcasing their routines and broader societal impact, the exhibition honors the workers whose efforts laid the foundation for the New York we know today.
